Student presenters have fifteen minutes for their oral presentation and five minutes for questions from the audience. The fifteen-minute presentation is timed. If presenters go over the fifteen-minute limit, points are deducted from their score.
Yes, you may come to EMCC the day before if you have contacted Dr. Polly Miller and Dave Topping one week prior to the conference. Please be sure to type the following in the email subject line: MSRC request to visit room and test technology.
Yes. We recommend that you park in Lot A, which is closest to the Estrella Conference Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning as indicated on the map.

Students may present research that was completed within the current academic year, July 1 through June 30, under the mentorship of a faculty member.
Yes, all students must me enrolled in MCCCD courses in the spring semester of the conference year.
Yes, friends and family may attend the sessions to support students. We ask that everyone be respectful of all student work.
Scholarships of $1000, $750, and $500 will be awarded for both oral and poster board presentations in each of the following tracks:
- Humanities / Social Behavior Sciences
- Occupational Education
- Science / Technology / Engineering / Math (S.T.E.M.)

Faculty mentors commit to working with the student to ensure an excellent learning opportunity and a finished product of the highest quality.
