Estrella Shines Award

Each year, Estrella Mountain Community College proudly presents awards to employees who consistently demonstrate dedication and commitment to our students, staff and community.

Award Overview 

Our Core Values are the institutional foundation of Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC). Our employees continue to demonstrate excellence and we are a College that will never cease to amaze. In an effort to recognize all our employees who exhibit the College’s Core Values, the Estrella Shines Award has been expanded to include staff as well as faculty.  The recognition will be awarded to one faculty and one staff member who has demonstrated this commitment. 

If you work with a faculty or staff member who you think promotes teaching, learning and student success that makes them “shine” in their role (in or out of the classroom), please nominate them today.  

Eligibility: All EMCC Employee Groups

Criteria:

• Demonstrates EMCC Core Values
• Has a "Wow" Factor or is something particularly interesting or new to EMCC
• Promotes effective teaching, learning and student success (in or out of the classroom)

Nomination Period:  Every April

Announcement:    Nominees and Awardees will be announced in mid-May.

An online form will be made available for you to submit your nomination for the Estrella Shines Award.
