West Africa, Senegal, and the Diaspora: My Journey
The West African Research Association and its member center in Senegal, provided the opportunity for the cohort of US faculty to visit and learn about Dakar, Gorée Island, Touba, and Saint-Louis, Senegal. I will share highlights from my participation in the lectures, site visits, panel discussions, and film screenings on history, culture, women's movement, economy, political life, young people, and religious tolerance.
